“Space has the shape of my glances” – Paul Eluard, To Share No Longer

Space is the shape of a body, a movement, a block of text, a break marked out against its surroundings. A room appears or dissolves based on context. My body can become a shape within a space or a space that I live from. I move as space and in space. We experience this sensation as physical regardless of physicality and yet, immediately recognize these cavities as emotional, mental, and fundamentally mutated beyond their boundaries. The significance is not in physical limitations, but the draw to delineate and filter various lived shapes into cohesive form. The collection presented utilizes various artistic mediums to contemplate experiences of space and as space.
